PURPOSE:To provide an external agent having excellent storage stability and useful in the fields of cosmetic, drug, quasi-drug, etc., by compounding an organic acid and its salt to a hydroquinone glycoside having excellent beautifying effect. CONSTITUTION:The objective external agent for skin is produced by compounding an organic acid and its salt (e.g. citric acid, tartaric acid, lactic acid, phosphoric acid, malic acid, their Na salt, K salt, etc.) to one or more compounds selected from the hydroquinone glycoside of formula (R is pentose residue, hexose residue, amino sugar residue, uronic acid residue or their methylated products) (especially preferably hydroquinone-beta-D-glucose). The amount of the hydroquinone glycoside is 0.1-30wt%, preferably 6-20wt% based on the whole external agent and that of the organic acid and its salt is 0.05-3wt%, preferably 0.1-1.0wt%. |
