PURPOSE:To obtain better repeatability of transmission torque by making inclination angle made by an inclination face of an inner circumferential face of a drive member side and an inner circumferential face in an operating void of the drive member to 15-30 deg. and by making minimum gap between the inclination face and an outer circumferential end portion of a rotor smaller than the gap in the operating void. CONSTITUTION:An inner circumferential side of a projection of a cover 5a of a drive member 1 of an electromagnetic powder member is made an inclina tion face 21a whose diameter is expanding as the side is approached to an operating void 37, and an inclination angle of an inner circumferential face and an inclination face 51a is made 30 deg.. And the minimum gap deltaT between inclination faces 51a, 61a and a rotor 10 is made smaller than a gap deltaG in the operating void 37. Then magnetic powder flowed into the operating void forcedly by the inclination face becomes hard to go out from the operating void by the inclination face, and distribution of magnetic powder in the operat ing void becomes always equal and repeatability of transmission torque becomes better. |
