MOORING METHOD OF BUOY EMPLOYING GUIDE ROPE

PURPOSE:To facilitate connection of mooring chain through a guide rope stopped to a buoy ring by inserting a guide rope fed out from a winch into a trolley stopped to the end section of chain wound over a windlass. CONSTITUTION:A trolley 1 is stopped to the end section of chain 2 wound over a windlass then a guide rope 3 fed out from a winch 8 is inserted into a guide hole 1d of trolley 1. Then a stopper 4 is fixed to the end section of guide rope 3 while a shuckle 5 is fixed to the tip and a shuckle 5 is stopped to the buoy ring 6a of buoy 6. Then the guide rope 3 is stretched to pull the buoy 6 to the hull side while to feed out the chain 2 through the guide rope 3 and to couple with the buoy 6. Consequently, heavy chain can be coupled easily with the buoy ring resulting in safe and easy mooring work.
