PURPOSE:To obtain an electrifying type thermal transfer recording material having a resistor layer of high heat resistance, high tensile strength, adequate hardness, small brittleness, adequate elongation, and good workability for recording and capable of giving clear pictures by using a laminate consisting of a resistor layer, a conductive layer, and a thermal transfer layer, each having a specific composition and/or characteristic values. CONSTITUTION:A three-layer structure laminate consists of a resistor layer composed of 100pts.wt. conductive powder selected from carbon black and graphite and having a surface resistivity of 10<2>-10<5>OMEGA, which is to be heated without suffering discharge breakage during electrifying recording period, a conductive layer composed of a metal thin film and having a surface resistivity of 0.1-50OMEGA, which is not broken by discharge during the electrifying recording period, and a thermal transfer layer composed of a binder and colorants and having a surface resistivity of 10<2>OMEGA or more, which is not broken by discharge, in order. The ratio of the surface resistivity for the resistor layer and the conductive layer is 10<3>-10<7>. |
