A bundling hoop to be used in a load of stacked products, for example a stack of flat cartons, to be fixed on a pallet by a bundling strap. The bundling hoop has two opposite rigid corner pieces connected to one or more rigid cross-pieces which are variable in length. The hoop is fitted onto a stack loaded on a pallet until the two corner pieces cover two opposite upper edges of the stack. Via these corner pieces, the bundling strap can then be tightened without damage occurring at the corner edges of the stack.
