PURPOSE:To improve the handling convenience of users by a method wherein an illuminating equipment is equipped on the front surface of lower part of a main body and the lightening thereof is effected in conjunction with the electric source of igniting operation in order to permit to read an operation indicating section near the illuminating equipment in a dark place. CONSTITUTION:A transparent body 15, provided so as to permeate light, emitted from the illuminating equipment 14, through the lower front surface and the bottom front surface of a water heater main body 20, is formed by acrylic resin or the like. The illuminating equipment 14 is provided in the water heater main body 20 and is connected to an AC electric source 1 through an ignition electric source plug 2 while the illuminating equipment 14 is connected to a control circuit 16 necessary for the igniting operation to lighten the illuminating equipment 14 by delivering the signal of igniting operation. Further, an operating section 18, provided with an operating switch 8, a hot-water temperature regulating unit 9, a capacity switching unit 10 or the like, is provided near the transparent body 15 so as to be capable of obtaining the illumination of the illuminating equipment 14. |
