PURPOSE:To cheaply obtain a neutralizer having a high silencing effect, by providing two chambers, which introduce exhaust gas containing condensed water from an internal-combustion engine, and connecting the both chambers through an overflow pipe while providing a counteragent chamber, surrounded by a porous wall, in at least one of the two chambers. CONSTITUTION:An engine 1 connects its exhaust pipe 5 with a muffler 3 through a zigzag pipe in a heat exchanger 2 to be opened to the atmosphere. Here condensed water in the heat exchanger 2 and the muffler 3 is introduced from outlets 9, 10 through pipes 11, 12 to an inlet pipe 13 to a condensed water neutralizer 4. This neutralizer 4, allowing condensed water to flow through the first chamber 18, first overflow pipe 22, second chamber 19 and the second overflow pipe 14, discharges the condensed water to the outside. While the neutralizer 4, causing exhaust gas in a pressurized pulsating condition introduced with the condensed water to successively rise under a bubble condition in condensed waters 18', 19' in each chamber 18, 19, discharges the exhaust gas from the pipe 14. And the neutralizer, allowing the strong acid condensed water 18' to flow into a counteragent chamber 24 through a porous inner cylinder 23, neutralizes the water reacting with a counteragent 25. |
