PURPOSE:To simplify operations of a printer by a method in which when a continuous printing paper having sewed meshes for cutting paper, hole for feeding paper, and markings for lead-out paper is used in a printer, a marking detector is provided and a paper feeding mechanism is controlled on the basis of the detected information of marking. CONSTITUTION:A continuous printing paper having perforation 6 for cutting paper, holes 7 for feeding paper, and markings 8 for heading paper is printed in such a way that the markings 8 are positioned on the position of a sensor 9 under a condition that the first printing line is set on a printing position 11. Printing is started and made for several lines, and then a switch 5 is pushed, whereupon the paper is sent out by small amounts by the controller 2 when sending a signal to need the heading of paper to the controller 2 by a controller 4. The detected information of a sensor 3 is read out, and if no marking 8 is detected, the paper is further fed by the same amount. Until marking 8 is detected, the operations are repeated. When the marking 8 is detected by the sensor 3, the feeding of paper is stopped by the controller 2 and a signal of completion of lead-out is sent to the controller 4. |
