The support and guide roller for extension guides for drawers consists of a roller body made of hard material whose outer surface forms a first running surface. Arranged in the region of the first running surface is a peripheral groove which is filled with an elastic material which, when the roll is non-loaded, forms a second running surface which projects by an amount radially beyond the first running surface. Arranged in the region of the groove are transversely extending receiving compartments of greater width than the width of the groove which are likewise filled with the elastic material which is bonded integrally to the elastic material of the groove.
