In order to convey capsules (1) by means of alternately varying currents (4, 10) of liquid in a tubular line (2) forming the conveying channel (16), offtake (5) and inlet nozzles (6) are arranged at the transition points between two liquid circuits and are inclined in the direction of flow. The region of the two nozzles (5, 6) is provided with a guide (3) provided with passage ports for liquid and adapted to the shape of the capsule (1). One of the two nozzles (5, 6) is designed to be displaceable in order to set the overlap or ratio of the mixing of the two currents (4, 10) of liquid, the same purpose being served by straight or curved baffle plates (11), which are pivotably or displaceably arranged in the region of the two nozzles (5, 6) and which, by adjustment of the currents of liquid, deflect as required in the direction of the offtake nozzle (5) or the inlet nozzle (6), so that there is a guarantee that at least as much of the first current of liquid passes over into the second current of liquid as is necessary for the safe transfer of the capsule (1) from one current of liquid (4) into the adjoining current of liquid. By means of these transfer apparatuses, it becomes possible for a first current of liquid to jump over a second, for example for the purposes of energy exchange. <IMAGE>
