The invention relates to a disc brake with friction-lining-wear warning device, especially for motor vehicles, the disc brake having at least one brake lining (28, 30), which can be pressed by means of an operating device against a brake disc, and an expansion spring (50) in order to force the lining back in the direction of its starting position after actuation, and a warning contact (76) being held on the brake lining. In order to create an arrangement which is easy to manufacture and assemble, in which a cross spring can be used, it is proposed that a part of the expansion spring (50) forms a recess (62) in which a part of the warning contact (76) is arranged. <IMAGE>
