PURPOSE:To provide a coloring matter laser device characterized by good stability, high oscillating efficiency and an oscillating wavelength region of 615-655nm, by using a specified stilbene coloring matter as a laser active coloring matter. CONSTITUTION:A coloring matter laser device comprises a container including coloring matter solution for laser and an energy source, which excites said coloring matter. In this coloring solution, a stilbene coloring matter expressed by a general formula (I), (where R indicates a methyl group or an ethyl group), is included. The oscillating efficiency of the stilbene coloring matter used is about 15%, which is higher than coloring matters in practical use. The coloring matter is oscillated in a long wavelength of 600nm or more. Since it is a nonionic coloring matter, it is stable and has a long life. The concentration of the coloring solution of the coloring matter laser is adjusted at 10<-1>-10<-4>mol/l. |
