Water flap for roof-gutter downpipes, comprising a longitudinally slotted sleeve (34) which can be pushed onto the lower end of the downpipe (66) and on which a gutter-shaped flap (38), pivotable about a horizontal axis, can be pivoted, said flap, in the closed position, covering the sleeve slot and, in the open position, terminating the lower end of the sleeve. In order to facilitate operation, a clamp (10) extending in the circumferential direction is fastened on the outside on the free end of the flap (38). Said clamp has a reinforced gripping piece (12, 16) and clamping legs (14) which are connected on both sides to the gripping piece, are riveted to the flap, provide the flap with circumferential tension and, by means of their ends, clamp around the sleeve (34) in the manner of a catch-locking connection. <IMAGE>
