发明名称 ONE-TIME INK RIBBON END DETECTION SYSTEM
摘要 PURPOSE:To permit lines or pages to be printed finally even after outgoing of ribbon end signals by reversely winding an ink ribbon by a length corresponding to one line or page at the final end of the ink ribbon. CONSTITUTION:A shaft 1a and an ink ribbon 1 are combined at the point A, and a length to the point B, as an excess length after detection of ribbon end, is reversely wound. When the ribbon 1 is wound and the point B is exposed, application of frictional load of the shaft 1a to the ribbon 1 is avoided, the fold of the point B is pulled by a tension mechanism 2, and remaining ink ribbon 1 is reversely turned by the frictional load of the shaft 1a. When the mechanism 2 is restored to usual position, the ribbon 1 runs on a ribbon detector 3, ribbon detection signal is generated, and a judgement that printing should be discontinued is made. Since the length from the point B to the point A can be printed, however, all that should be done is to stop printing at divisionend parts of lines or pages.
