PURPOSE:To attain sales jobs on credit by connecting a password number confirming unit to an electronic telephone for input of the password number, etc. stored in a card. CONSTITUTION:A password number confirming unit 1 is connected to an electronic telephone main body 2 by putting a plug 1b of the unit 1 into a plug of the body 2. This body 2 contains a display device 21, a keyboard 22, a card reader interface 24, a MODEM 25, a central processor CRU26, a memory 27, a printer interface 28 and a network controller NCU29. Thus the sale job is possible with credit cards by connecting the unit 1 to such an electronic telephone 2 containing the NCU29, the MODEM 25, a card reader 3, etc. The credit sale job is possible easily even with a detail shop containing no terminal equipment exclusive for credit cards by using this electronic telephone having a password number confirming unit in place of an existing telephone.
