PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of an on-off gear bearing the above caption, by making a sliding roof lifting device go up and down with longitudinal movements of a geared cable, while constituting a sliding roof so as to slide on a guard. CONSTITUTION:When a geared cable 17 is pulled to the right, both shoes 12 and 27 move to the right, arms 10, 13, 19 and 20 of link mechanisms 4 and 5 are expanded wider, going down in parallel, whereby a sliding roof 3 comes to a sunk position and rollers 30 and 34 enter the inside of a guide groove 16a, thus the sliding roof 3 is made drawable in the lower part of a roof 1. When the cable 17 is reversely moved to some extent, these arms 10, 13, 19 and 20 stand erect by dint of springs 15 and 25, and the sliding roof 3 comes to a closed position, then further to a tilt position. With this constitution, an on-off gear for the sliding roof is simplified, thus a housing space is reducible. |
