<p>PURPOSE:To prevent insufficiency of an output due to a change of an octane number, by correcting the maximum supercharge pressure, set by a supercharge pressure setting means, so as to be increased larger when an octane number detecting sensor detects a low octane number of fuel than when it detects a high octane number of fuel. CONSTITUTION:In order to detect an octane number of gasoline fuel by utilizing a fact that fuel of higher octane number has larger specific gravity, the first and the second floats 12, 13 of different specific gravity are vertically movably set in a casing 14 in a fuel tank. And the first and the second switches 15, 16 closed when the floats 12, 13 are floated, are provided. A control unit 17, enabling fuel of three kinds to be discriminates by combination of on/off conditions of these switches 15, 16 variably controls in accordance with the discriminating result the opening of a relief valve 10 over three stages. In this way, the maximum supercharge pressure can be changed by adjusting the opening of a waste gate valve 7 through an actuator 8.</p> |
