PURPOSE:To prevent an overspeed and surging, by respectively providing a variable nozzle ring in an exhaust gas inlet of a supercharger and inlet guide vanes in a blower inlet further a variable diffuser ring in an impeller outlet of the supercharger and controlling these rings and vanes in accordance with an operational condition. CONSTITUTION:A supercharger 2 is additionally provided in a marine Diesel engine 1, and the supercharger 2 is provided in its exhaust gas inlet 11 a variable nozzle ring 19 which can be rotated by a driving gear 21. While the supercharger, respectively providing inlet guide vanes 22 in a blower inlet 9 and a variable diffuser ring 25 in the outlet part of an impeller 14, enables them to be rotated by each driving gear 24, 27. And each driving gear 21, 24, 27 is controlled by a control unit 3 on the basis of rotary angles of each member 19, 22, 25, speed of the impeller 14, pressure and temperature of a blower outlet 10', pressure difference between surface pressures of peripheral and internal peripheral walls of a blower volute chamber 10 and its peripheral surface pressure, inlet temperature of exhaust gas, engine speed and each detector 20, 23, 26, 28-36 detecting a flow of fuel.
