Curtain wall for structures, having prefabricated curtain-wall elements 11, 26, having rail pilaster strips 18 running between the curtain-wall elements 11, and having a transporting vehicle 19 which is guided in the rail pilaster strips 18 and is custom-made such that, during erection of the curtain wall, it serves as guiding carriage for transporting the curtain-wall elements 11 and, after the curtain wall has been erected, can be provided with a transporting cage for cleaning personnel. The rail pilaster strip 18 is formed by the end sides, of the curtain-wall elements 11, directed towards one another, the transporting vehicle 19 being supported on the guiding rails 18 via rollers. <IMAGE>
