The present invention relates to an apparatus by means of which bodies of geometrically defined shape, which are being hydraulically transported in a first conveying channel by means of a first current of liquid and are passed into a second conveying channel, in which these bodies are taken over by a second current of liquid and, in this manner, further transported through a second conveying channel, without any mixing taking place between the two currents of liquid whose composition may be different, depending on the application required. In this arrangement, the separation of the two currents of liquid takes place in a pressure-tight liquid container which creates a pressure compensation between the end of the first conveying channel and the start of the second conveying channel. A control, dependent on the level of liquid, ensures that the pressure of the compressed air cushion is always so high that the liquid in the second current of liquid cannot pass into the liquid container.
