PURPOSE:To improve the heat resistance of a polyester molded article efficiency, economically and hygienically, by a method wherein a linear arom. polyester molded article is impregnated with a polyallyl cpd. and a reaction initiator, and then a crosslinking reaction is carried out. CONSTITUTION:A linear arom. polyester molded article is impregnated with a polyallyl cpd. having at least two allyl gp. of the formula (wherein R1, R2, R3 are H, org. gp.) in the molecule and a reaction initiator. Then a crosslinking reaction is carried out. Examples of the reaction initiators are org. peroxides, photo-reaction initiators. Examples of the polyester molded articles used are fibrous continuum, film, sheet prepd. by extruding a polyester in a molten state from a slit or a hole and cooling an extrudate to harden it, or sheet or block prepd. by casting the molten polyester into a mold and cooling the cast material to harden it. |
