PURPOSE:To improve a filter effect, an anti-halation effect and a sensitivity control effect of the titled material by incorporating at least one of the specific dyestuff compds., to the titled material. CONSTITUTION:The dyestuff layer contg. at least one of the compds. shown by the formula is formed. In the formula, R<3> and R<4> are each a substituent of an alkyl group, said substituent is a halogenated hydroxy, an alkoxy, a cyano or an alkylsulfonyl group and R<3> and R<4> together with each other may form a ring. The dyestuff shown by formula is used 1-800mg/1m<2> a sensitive material. If the dyestuff is used as the filter dyestuff or the anti-halation dyestuff, an optional amount of the dyestuff capable of displaying said effects may be used, but it is preferable to use said dyestuff so as to be 0.05-3.0 an optical concentration. The dyestuff may be dispersed in a hydrophilic colloidal layer and an emulsion layer by a conventional method. The useful silver halide emulsion comprises silver bromide, silver iodide bromide, silver iodide chloride bromide, silver chloride bromide and silver chloride. By incorporating the dyestuff to the titled composition, the yellow dyestuff layer having the filter effect and the anti-halation effect or the sensitive emulsion having the good sensitivity control effect is obtd. |
