PURPOSE:To assemble the dust-collecting plate efficiently and safely by assembling the dust-collecting plate, transferring it downward to the casing by a carriage, hanging it up form the lower opening of the casing by a ligting means and installing it at a prescribed position. CONSTITUTION:When assembling and installing the dust-collecting plate of an electrostatic precipitator, elements 28 are laid and arranged by an assembling rest 40 to form a sheet of dust-collecting plate 16 by fixing the upper and lower ends. Then, a sheet of dust-collecting plate 16 is further placed on a transferring carriage 50 and transferred, and is made to travel horizontally by a roller group 42. Said plate 16 is then forced to travel up to the position just below the bottom opening of the casing 10, both said plate 16 and a transferring carriage 50 are hung up to prescribed height in the casing 10. Only the dust- collecting plate 16 is suspended by an electric hoist, moved along a monorail 70 and installed. By doing this, the assembling, transferring and installing of the dust-collecting plate can be performed efficiently and safely.
