A process for the production of a pipe member section of permanently curved contour starting from a straight, longitudinally divided pipe member section, for example made of extruded plastic pipe. The pipe member section with said curved contour can be used ina slideway or similar guide arrangement. In the pipe member section there is effected a segmental splitting up of the pipe member section over a substantial portion of the arcuate pipe contour of the pipe member section, so that there are formed a series of parallel edge flaps (14, 15; 14a) and/or strips (20) and left behind one or several unsplit arcuate pipe portion(s) (13, 13a; 18, 19). The arcuate pipe section is thereafter bent around the unsplit arcuate pipe portion(s) (13; 13a; 18, 19) while the edge flaps and the strips overlap each other respectively. Finally the edge flaps and the strips are respectively jointed in permanent connection with each other to form a rigid pipe member section having a specific curved contour. |
