PURPOSE:To improve the visibility of a meter display by movably providing an endless slide member on a frame member protruding in front of an instrument panel and by performing the steering by means of the slide operation of the slide member. CONSTITUTION:Approximately oblong frame member 2 protruding forward is formed in front of the driver's seat side of an instrument panel 1, and an endless slide member 3 surriunding the outer periphery of the frame member 2 is movably arranged along the periphery of the frame member 2. A rail section 5 with a U-shaped cross section is provided on the outer periphery of the frame member 2, on the other hand, a guide member 6 is provided on the inner periphery of the slide member 3. The roller 6b of the guide member 6 is guided in contact with the guide groove section 6a of the slide member 3. In addition, a geared belt section 7 is provided on the inner periphery of the guide member 6, and individual teeth 7a of the belt section 7 are engaged with a gear 9 fitted to a steering shaft 10. A meter screen 4 is formed on a panel 1 surrounded by the slide member 3. |
