PURPOSE:To render residual potential extremely small by laminating the first specified layer region and the second specified layer region on a conductive substrate. CONSTITUTION:The photoreceptor 100 has a photoreceptive layer 102 on the conductive substrate 101 as a photoreceptive material, and this layer 102 has a free surface 105 on one end face, and composed of a layer structure of the first tin-contg. layer region (Sn) 103 made of a-Si(H,X) and the second photoconductive layer region (S) 104 made of a-Si(H,X) laminated from the side of the substrate 101. The layer region (Sn) 103 can be optionally controlled in the conductivity characteristics in accordance with need by further incorporating a substance (C), thus permitting the obtained photoreceptor not to be deteriorated at the time of repeated uses and residual potential to be hardly not at all observed. |
