PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition having excellent impact resistance, especially impact resistance at low temperature, and high rigidity and suitable as automobile parts, etc., by compounding a thermoplastic polyester with a copolymer of an alpha-olefin and an unsaturated epoxide or unsaturated carboxylic acid (anhydride). CONSTITUTION:(A) 50-99pts.wt. of a thermoplastic polyester (e.g. polyethylene terephthalate) is compounded with (B) 1-50pts. of a copolymer having a melt flow rate of 0.01-50g/10min and composed of a copolymer having a melt flow rate of 0.01-50g/10min and composed of (B1) 70-99.5wt% alpha-olefin (e.g. ethylene) and (B2) 0.05-30% unsaturated epoxide compound (e.g. glycidyl meth-acrylate) or unsaturated carboxylic acid (anhydride) (e.g. maleic acid), and (C) 0.01-10pts., preferably 0.05-8pts. (based on 100pts. of A+B) of an unsaturated carboxylic acid (anhydride) or an unsaturated epoxide compound and the mixture is kneaded under melting. |
