PURPOSE:To separate logically one bank, and to execute an operation by one way, as well, by controlling a two way/one way switching controlling circuit, on a storage device common control part and the address control part of each bank. CONSTITUTION:A two way/one way switching controlling circuit means for sending out control signals 4, 5 to only one of the first and the second address control parts 8, 9 is provided on a storage device common control part 1. Also, the two way/one way switching controlling circuit means for setting memory banks 14, 15 corresponding to the own address control parts 8, 9 to a logically coupled state at all times or to a logically separated state at all times, based on the control signals 4, 5 is provided on each of the address control parts 8, 9. In this way, even in case when a fixed fault is generated in one memory bank, the operation can be executed by the remaining memory bank only.
