METHOD FOR ELECTROLYZING METALLIC WIRE ROD

PURPOSE:To increase the current density without causing burning and to enhance the productivity by circulating an electrolytic soln. at a prescribed flow rate. CONSTITUTION:The flow rate V (cm/sec) of the electrolytic soln. is regulated by forced circulation so as to satisfy an equation E<=-0.002V<2>+1.4V+30 [where E is current density (A/dm<2>)], and a metallic wire rod is electrolyzed in the electrolytic soln. at 5-20mm interval between the wire rod and an electrode having <=1500mm length. Enough metallic ions are supplied to the surface of the wire rod, electrolysis is carried out at high current density without causing burning and the productivity is enhanced.
