PURPOSE:A heat-storing tank that is obtained by using sodium trihydrate as a heat-storing medium which utilizes its latent heat and applying a voltage to the anode of silver or lead and to the cathode in the salt, thus inhibiting the medium from super-cooling by immediate crystal nucleation to ensure high- efficiency heat release. CONSTITUTION:Sodium acetate trihydrate 4 is used as a heat-storing medium utilizing its latent heat. The heat-storing tank 1 is provided with an electrically conductive heat-exchange pipe passing through the inside of the tank 1 and an electrode 9 of silver or lead or their alloy is inserted in the heat-storing medium 4 so that the top end of the electrode 9 comes closely to the heat- exchange pipe 6 and the heat-exchange pipe is used as the other electrode or another electrode is inserted into the medium with a gap. Both of electrodes are connected to switch 11 and power source 10 of direct or alternate current. When a direct current source is used, one of the electrodes are used as an anode and the temperature of the heat-storing medium is detected and the switch is turned ON.OFF.
