PURPOSE:To obtain a three-dimensional measuring machine which moves a base without rocking by fitting a guide rail which serves as a scale on a surface plate and providing a guide roll which can roll in contact with the rail and leave it. CONSTITUTION:The column 32 of the guide roll 33 which rolls on the external flank of the guide rail 19 is supported on a bearing 27 united with the base 3 through a bearing 31 and eccentric bearing metal 30. The eccentric bearing 30 is rotated properly to adjust the contacting force between the roll 33 and rail 19, which is clamped between the roll 33 and the guide rail 24 on the bottom surface of the base 3 to prevent the base 3 from rocking during its movement, so that the base is moved accurately along the rail 19. A screw 29 is unclamped and the column 32 and metal 30 are elevated together with a knob 34; and the roll 33 leaves the rail 19 and the base 3 is moved on the surface plate 1, so that the rail 19 is demounted from the surface plate 1 and changed in position. When rolls 24 and 33 are joined to both flanks of the rail 19 at the new position similarly, the base 3 is moved without rocking. |
