PURPOSE:To decrease the amt. of an org. solvent to be used and to provide a higher concn. rate by forming an org. solvent layer on the inside wall of a pipe and bringing a sample soln. into contact with the org. solvent layer. CONSTITUTION:The sample soln. 1 added with a chelate agent is introduced into a sampling coil 13. The specified amt. of the sample soln. drawn in the coil 13 is introduced into a reaction coil 5 and the org. solvent filled in the coil 5 is pushed out by the sample soln. when a passage of a valve 15 is changed over to the position (c) after the org. solvent 18 is introduced into the coil 5. The org. solvent 20 is formed on the inside wall of the pipe 19 of the coil 5 and distilled water is kept run therein. The alcohol 25 flows in succession thereto via an air layer 24 and the solvent layer 20 is dissolved into alcohol 25. The dissolved org. solvent exists more at the front end of the flow of the alcohol and is concentrated into a relatively small volume of the alcohol. The high-sensitivity analysis by an atomic absorption spectrophotometer is thus made possible. |
