PURPOSE:To measure the power of a four-wheel and a two-wheel drive vehicle respectively by controlling rotational loads on dynamometers for front and rear wheels on the basis of allotted resistance loads and setting a run state detecting means in the 1st and the 2nd modes. CONSTITUTION:The rotational loads on the dynamometers 12a and 12b for the front and rear wheels are controlled electrically on the basis of allotted loads Za and Zb which are obtained from run resistance loads Wa and Wb and electric loads Ya and Yb of the front and rear wheels to simulate a run of the four-wheel drive vehicle 100 on rollers 10a and 10b on the same condition with an actual run road. When the power of the two-wheel drive vehicle is measured, a changeover switch 29 is placed at the side of a contact (a) and the run state detecting means is set in the 2nd mode. Then, the allotment ratio of the front wheels 110 of the vehicle is set to 1 according to an allotment ratio setting 34 to use the chassis dynamo as a normal chassis dynamo for the two-wheel drive vehicle. |
