PURPOSE:To perform excellent developing operation without any waste by separating the outside developer of a developer magnetic brush which contributes to development by a scraper and guiding it to a developer agitator, and conveying the remaining developer magnetic brush while leaving it on the surface of a developer conveying means. CONSTITUTION:A gap C of about 5mm is formed between a developing roller 1312 and the scraper 1392 and the outside developer G2 of several mm in the developer magnetic brush 1352 which contributes to development is separated by the scraper 1392 and guided to the developer agitator 1402, and the remaining developer G2 which does not contribute to the development is rotates while left on the surface of the developing roller 1312 as an unseparated magnetic brush 1352'. Thus, the untransferred magnetic brush 1352' is left positively on the surface of the developing roller 1312, and then this separated magnetic brush 1352' is magnetized according to the rotation and the developer G2 from the developer storage part 1382 increases in attractive force, so that the developer G2 is supplied to the developing roller 1312 smoothly. Consequently, irregularity in development due to irregularity in developer supply is eliminated securely. |
