<p>A safety screen for use with a laser apparatus, including an electrical conductor (4) formed on a surface of the safety screen (1) which in use is so positioned that it forms part of the inner surface of an enclosure in which the safety screen is incorporated, means (6) for detecting changes in an electrical parameter of the conductor as a result of laser radiation falling upon the safety screen, and means (7, 8) responsive to the changes in the electrical parameter of the conductor to prevent the laser radiation from continuing to fall on the safety screen. <IMAGE></p> |
