PURPOSE:To confirm the person himself of a card user by constituting an IC card by a calculational expression of a system which has used an IC card having an EEPROM, fixed information recorded on the EEPROM and variable information recorded in the EEPROM, a functions. CONSTITUTION:When variable information 4 has been recorded on an IC card 1 of fixed information 3, when a user 2 registers a user's calculational expression 5, for instance, f=A+B+123, verifying information 6' is always calculated by a calculational expression 6F(f, A, B) of a system in which A and B are functions, and stored in an EEPROM. In case this card 1 is used, when the user's calculational expression 5 registered by the user 2 is indicated, the verifying information 6' is calculated by a calculational expression 6 of the system, and when this calculation result coincides with the verifying information 6' stored in the EEPROM, a fact that the user 2 is the person himself, and a fact that the IC card 1 is a legal one can be verified. In this way, it can be prevented to tamper with the card, and also the person himself can be confirmed by the user's calculational expression. |
