PURPOSE:To eliminate the positional deviation of a head arm to prevent off- track by providing an oscillationproof mechanism in the position, where oscillation is greatest, of a magnetic circuit of a voice coil motor as an actuator. CONSTITUTION:A damping mass (oscillationproof member) A is attached to the position, where oscillation is greatest, of an actuator 15. The oscillation of the magnetic circuit which is caused for head positioning is absorbed by a weight 21 of the damping mass (oscillationproof member) A to prevent the oscillation of a head driving system. Thus, the oscillation of the head arm is prevented to eliminate the positional deviation of the head, and off-track is prevented.
