PURPOSE:To eliminate the damage of a magnetic diskette and a magnetic head by setting a member having an attenuating effect to a gimbals spring and reducing the oscillation of the gimbals spring due to shocks or the like at the time when the front end part of a magnetic head arm is released and supported. CONSTITUTION:A rubber material is used as the member having the attenuating effect, and this rubber material 3 is set to gap parts 5 of a gimbals spring 1 by adhesion, packing, or the like. Thus, since generated oscillation energy is absorbed by this rubber material when the oscillation occurs in the gimbals spring 1, the oscillation is reduced, and its amplitude is attenuated quickly.
