PURPOSE:To obtain a uniform and smooth film with improved throwing power by carrying out galvanization with a galvanizing soln. contg. prescribed amounts of Zn ions, Cl ions, amino acids, a nonionic activator and a compound having C=O group. CONSTITUTION:An acidic galvanizing soln. contg. >=8g/l (expressed in terms of Zn ions) zinc sulfate, 0-50g/l ions, 0.1-10g/l hydrolyzate of protein as amino acids, 0.05-10g/l polyether type nonionic activator and 0.01-10g/l com pound having a C=O group is prepd. The hydrolyzate contains glycine, hydroxyproline and proline by 20-80wt.%. An article to be plated is galvanized with the acidic galvanizing soln.
