PURPOSE:To simplify a dust cleaner by a method in which one end of cable for vertically moving a rake is connected to the rotary supporting point of the rake, one end of a case of opening or closing the rake is connected to the upside of the rake on the position isolated from the rotary supporting point, and both the cables are driven by a cylinder driver. CONSTITUTION:When oil-pressure cylinders 19 and 24 are operated to extend a cable 14 for vertically moving a rake and a cable 20 for opening or closing the rake, a rake 11 is moved downwards on a screen 10. When the rake 11 is lowered to the position to be touched by the water surface, the extending speed of the cable 20 is decreased, and the rake 11 is rotationally moved upwards to a position where the bent end portion 11b is horizontal to the fitting position of a pin 12. The extending speeds of both the cables 14 and 20 are then equalized, the rake 11 is sunk into water, only the cable 20 is extended, a claw 11a is contacted with the upside of a screen 10, and the rake 11 is closed. Dust is trapped into the chamber formed by the rake 11 and the screen 10.
