PURPOSE:To secure a working space sufficiently when an optical fiber connection part is stored or taken out by storing optical fiber cores to high density, and using a mandrel which can be added or foldable during operation to move an optical fiber core treatment part. CONSTITUTION:When excessive-length cores 1 and optical fiber core connection parts are stored by using an optical fiber core storage part, an extension mandrel 6a, addition mandrel 6b, or foldable mandrel 6c which is a little bit longer than the lamination thickness of the optical fiber core treatment part laminated on the mandrel 6 is extended in a through hole 8 to secure the movement space for the optical fiber core treatment part 7. When an optional optical fiber core is stored or taken out, the core to be handled is drawn to the front by utilizing the movement space and the excessive-length core 1 and optical fiber core connection part 2 are stored in or taken out of the optical fiber core storage part 7 through its top opening part. Consequently, the working space is secured sufficiently and the need to secure the working space all the time is eliminated.
