PURPOSE:To provide the title self-adhesive compsn. having high bonding power to synthetic resin sheet, etc., and leaving no residue of adhesive even when peeled off in use, prepared by adding to a natural rubber latex a water-soluble crosslinking agent which reacts with soluble substances in the latex. CONSTITUTION:The self-adhesive compsn. is prepared by adding 0.1-5pts.wt. water-soluble crosslinking agent having methylol, amino or aldehyde groups, etc. capable of reacting with water-soluble substances in the latex such as carbohydrate or protein, to 100pts.wt. natural rubber latex with a solid content of 60%. The crosslinking agents are, e.g., water-soluble melamine/formaldehyde, methylolmelamine, urea, urea/melamine and glyoxal. The agent crosslinks the water-soluble substances in natural rubber latex such as protein or carbohydrate which cause residue of adhesive and prevent them from migrating to coated surface and forming the residue of adhesive.
