PURPOSE:To eliminate the unstableness of connection of an optical fiber cable by mounting an electric connector which incorporates an integrated circuit with a photoelectric converting element on both sides of an optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:Connectors 12 and 13 which incorporate integrated circuits 14 and 15 having photoelectric converting element and are equipped with connectors 12a and 13a for electric signals and connectors 12b and 13b for power supply are mounted on both terminals of the optical fiber 11. The integrated circuit 14 for electrooptic conversion has three signal systems and input terminals CH1I-CH3I are connected to the connector 12A to drive FETs TI1-TI3; and projection light beams of semiconductor laser diodes LD1-LD3 are controlled and power source terminals V+, V- are connected to the connector 12b. The integrated circuit 15 for optoelectric conversion consists of PIN photodiodes PD1-PD3 which photodetect light passed through the optical fiber 11, FETs TO1-TO3, etc., output terminals CH1O-CH3O are connected to the connector 13a, and power source terminals V1-, V+ and V2- are connected to the connection terminal 13b. |
