PURPOSE:To attain communication with any outgoing terminal device by sending MODEM information acquired by the outgoing side to the incoming side and allowing the incoming side to select a MODEM communicated with the former MODEM from an incoming selection MODEM information memory. CONSTITUTION:A data terminal device 102a makes a call at the outgoing side and a private line outgoing number and a called data terminal number are inputted from a keyboard. A central controller 106 uses the said information and reads MODEM information MOi corresponding to an outgoing data terminal allocating position L1 from an outgoing selection MODEM information memory 110 and selects and acquires the corresponding MODEM 104i and acquires a private line trunk 105a. Thus, the information MOi and the called data terminal number acquired by the incoming side are sent via the trunk 105a. The controller 106 at the reception side reads the MODEM information MIi corresponding to the information MOi from an incoming selection MODEM information memory 111 by using the information MOi and the called data terminal device number (102b) received from a private line trunk 105b, selects and acquires the corresponding MODEM 104i to connect the trunk 105b and the terminal device 102b.
