PURPOSE:To hold an optical path invariably constant even if a mirror vibrates owing to disturbance by providing a pulley which constitutes a movement system for mirrors on the prolongation of the line of intersection of orthogonal reflecting surfaces of two mirrors of an original scanning system. CONSTITUTION:The mirrors 5 and 6 having the orthogonal reflecting surfaces are provided in the middle of an optical path of light which scans on an original optically. The axial center O of the pulley 15 of the movement system which moves the mirrors 5 and 6 through the pulley and a wire is set on the prolongation of the line of intersection of the mirrors 5 and 6. Incident light (a) is reflected by the mirrors 5 and 6 and outputted as reflected light (c) parallel to the incident light (a). Even if the mirrors 5 and 6 vibrate owing to disturbance, the incident light (a) and projection light (c) are held invariably parallel to each other as shown in a figure. Consequently, the invariably stable optical path is maintained and the disorder of an image is prevented.
