PURPOSE:To improve production efficiency by installing a stopper for positioning the edge of a rod member in free reciprocation towards a traveling passage for the rod member, between a movable blade of a cutting machine and a constant dimension head, thus reducing the treatment time for the top-edge cutting work for the rod member. CONSTITUTION:A stopper 7 is installed in reciprocation towards a traveling passage for a rod member (m) between a movable blade 2 and a constant dimension head 5. Therefore, when the top edge of the rod member (m) is cut, cutting is performed without shifting the constant dimension head 5. Since the top edge can be cut by moving only the stopper 7, keeping the constant dimension head 5 set at a prescribed position, the top-edge cutting processing is carried-out immediately after a terminal member is discharged, and the efficiency of cutting operation can be improved. |
