PURPOSE:To attain re-transmission of data without manual operation by so constituting the titled system that a request-to-call is executed to a telephone set of which number is stored in case where the facsimile terminal equipment detects a transmission error. CONSTITUTION:A user of the facsimile terminal equipment FX 1 calls the opposite subscriber using a telephone set 2. At this time the telephone 2 stores in a memory device the telephone number of the opposite. After the setting of the communication line, a data set on the equipment 1 side is transmitted to the opposite FX equipment through the communication line, but the said data also is stored in a memory 6. At the time when one page of the original is transmitted, the memory 6 is cleared, and the transmittal data of the next original is stored. In case a computer 4 detects a transmission error amid the transmitting, the line is disconnected, and then a call-request part 7 is activated in order to execute an automatic request for call to the telephone 2. The telephone set 2 calls the opposite subscriber again. After the communication line is set, the data of the document that includes the detected error is read from the memory 6, and transmitted again.
