PURPOSE:To enable a cargo to be loaded as desired by operating a receiving- shipping device so as to meet the length of the cargo to be loaded permitting the cargo to stop at the stated reference stop position of a required block where the cargo is most effectively loaded. CONSTITUTION:A shelf 1 is composed of vertical frames 5 which are vertically arranged with the stated space apart, numbers of lateral frames 6 which are arranged upward and downward so as to connect adjacently located vertical frames 6, and a number of receiving fittings 8 which are arranged on the lateral frames with the stated pitch of P maintained. In addition, the receiving-shipping device 2 is also arranged, the device can travel as required along the shelf 1, and is provided with a lift table 15 which includes laterally retractive forks 16a-16e. And the shelf 1 is divided into numbers of blocks, to each of which the reference stop position of A through F for the receiving-shipping device 2 is assigned. This configuration enables the cargo to be loaded as desired by operating the receiving-shipping device so as to meet the length of the cargo to be loaded permitting the cargo to stop at the stated reference stop position of a required block where the cargo is most effectively loaded.
