PURPOSE:To maintain the uniformity of printing characteristics without using various lengths of wire by aligning bimorph-type electric distortion vibrators in the running direction of a printing head and arranging printing pins so that they may print a different position at right angle with the running direction of printing head. CONSTITUTION:If a drive voltage is applied by a drive circuit 12 to piezoelectric elements constituting bimorph-type electric distortion vibrators 1a-1p held by a holding member 3, the entire vibrators 1a-1p are bent causing printing pins 2a-2p to strike both an ink ribbon 10 and printing paper 9 for printing. Almost at the same time as this striking for printing, if a drive voltage is cut off by the drive circuit 12, the electric distortion vibrators 1a-1p start returning to their pre-printing stationary position and runs into a damper 11 at the stationary position, and stopping quickly.
