PURPOSE:To attain the simultaneous interpolation for two arc axes and a single linear axis by providing the interpolation circuits for circular and linear interpolations respectively and producing the interpolation pulses of both circuits through comparison performed among data on the largest length of those three axes. CONSTITUTION:The interpolation circuits 11 and 12 are used to obtain the 2-axis interpolation pulse of an arc and the 1-axis interpolation pulse of a straight line respectively. The 2-axis shift data X and Y on an arc are supplied to the circuit 11; while the shift data Z on the straight line and the shift data (l) on the longest axis are supplied to the circuit 12 respectively. Then the longest axis data NC on the arc is compared with the linear data NL, and an FF13 stores the result of this comparison. The AND gates 14-16 which decide the conditions by the output of the FF13 and the feedback pulse FP or the longest axis data are added together with OR gates 17 and 18. When the linear shift data is large, the output of one of both interpolation simultaneous interpolation is carried out with three axes to obtain interpolation pulses + or -DX-+ or -DZ.
